How we work.
We will meet with you and the animal(s) in question. We will discuss what sort of photographs you are hoping for and make suggestions how best we can achieve it. Only when you are ready will we ask you to sign the booking form and give us the deposit of £90. Although the day and time of the photography will be on the booking form, it can be changed without charge. For instance, if you are wanting your animal to be photographed on a sunny day, there is no point in us turning up in torrential rain.
After the photography session, we will need 7 days to ensure that the images we will show you are as we would like them. Using digital software, there are many things we can do to enhance the pictures. Once we are satisfied, we will put them in an online gallery where you may look at them and make your choices. Alternatively, we can store them on a laptop and bring them round to show you.
Your pet may behave better when you are near but you don't actually want to be in the photograph. That is not a problem, we will simply take you out of the initial picture. Then, if you would prefer your animal to be in more picturesque surroundings, just choose from many of the potential backgrounds we have, or tell us what you have in mind..
It may not be possible for a dog to be freed from his or her restraints. If that is the case, just discuss with us how you would like the finished portrait to look and leave the rest to us.
We can supply prints in several different finishes and, if you are going to have them hanging on the wall, can show you them in various frames using the software supplied by our framers. You may prefer to use framers of your own, in which case we can supply the prints mounted on card or foamboard of various thicknesses to suit. They can also be block mounted, or stretched on canvas, or as aluminium plates.
If you have a photograph of your pet that you really like, but want it to look special, just talk with us. Before we can work on it, we will need you to complete a simple form to say that you hold the copyright of the image.
